Today, I am sharing truly one of my favorite parts of our home…my office! This is a space that inspires me to create and think up all of my crazy dreams. Recently, I’ve been spending lots of time here and I hope that it inspires you to create a space for yourself that inspires you, too.
When we moved into our home we had two extra bedrooms that weren’t being used up. In the long-run we would want to have these bedrooms filled with kids but until we get there, we wanted to make use of these empty bedrooms to serve our life here and now.
I knew right away that I wanted to convert one of these bedrooms into an office space that I could stay focused in and be creative. This blog has really become a passion of mine and during the wee-hours of the morning and late hours at night, I found myself struggling to stay focused with distractions. This office been my little sanctuary and I like to think of all of the dreams that this space will help bring true.
This botanical wall art was the piece that started the inspo for this whole area. I found this at a local shop in Pittsburgh and knew right away that I wanted to use it in an office one day. Something about those colors and flowers just really spoke to me.
Another thing that speaks to me? My dried wedding floral bouquet. It’s much better here than in a closet. It reminds me of the best day of my life and the fact that I have lots of support in this pursuit of my dreams. Am I too mushy for y’all?! ❤️
I, of course, had to adds lots of vintage finds like the shoe form, letters, books, table, wall art, and little chest of drawers. These are the types of things that I love surrounding myself with. Especially in a creative space, like an office.
Odd confession time: I have this weird thing for spools of yarn and ribbon. Don’t ask me why…I’m not even sure I know the answer myself. In any case, I decided to mount an old wooden crate to the wall to display them all under the floral wall art. I suspect that this little collection will be growing over time. 😉
There are some new and practical pieces in this area, too. Some of those include the calendar, letter board, lamp and storage bin. Both the lamp and the storage bin are from the Magnolia line at Target. I loved the vintage vibe of both of them and how they mesh so well with my antique pieces 😍
For my office, I really wanted to have a space full of things that inspire me. Pieces that make me think and allow my creative “juices” to flow. I am just in love with this area. I never realized the impact a space like this could have until now. My little happy place.
“She Designed A Life She Loved“- This little saying has been so inspiring to me over the past few months and maybe it will be for you, too. I hope you all know how appreciative that I am of every single one of you. I am so thankful for you being here to share in my passions and support my dreams. There are truly no words for my gratitude. I love you all, big.
