This has been the longest time coming…..a new cozy area rug for our bedroom! Since we moved into our house two years ago, we have been without an area rug in our bedroom. It obviously wasn’t a top priority upon moving in but it was something I definitely had on my radar for quite some time.
All along, I knew an area rug would add so much to this bedroom of ours. I wanted something that was big, neutral & full of cozy texture. After a bit of searching, I found this one for a pretty reasonable price & decided to save up to buy it. I fell in love with the woven/braided texture and the ivory color.
We purchased this rug in the 10×14 size for our bedroom & I feel like it fills the space pretty well. I wanted something that wasn’t stark white and would have a little contrast with the white bedding/headboard that we already have. This rug is mostly ivory with very subtle hints of gray woven in and on the base of the rug. It’s beautiful!
This rug is available in lots of size options and shapes…and also a gray color! We love it so far. I will warn you – the first few vacuums on this produced a LOT of shedding. Our vacuum was near full – but it has significantly decreased with each vacuum session.
I love how this rug warms up the space a bit & provides a contrast with the darker floors and wood tone furniture. It’s soft under the feet, too! We are hoping to get a rug pad under this eventually but for now, it is well secured under our queen-size bed which is heavy enough for the cozy area rug to stay put.
I’m super excited to start focusing on this room a bit more in the upcoming weeks and making it a space that feels peaceful and calming. This room is my main focus right now! Stay tuned for all of the fun projects ahead in here.
I really feel like this rug tied the room together and made the space feel more inviting. This room is starting to come together and it’s making me so so happy!
Comment below with your thoughts on this new rug of ours! I’d love to know what you think. Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today & check back for more master bedroom updates.
