I tried really hard to use lots of color in my Fall front porch this year. I had every intention of using all of the deep and pretty hues that bring all of the Fall feels. This porch refresh started with red mums and dark colors and it just wasn’t “me” no matter how hard I tried. I changed a few things and decided to go with a palette that I felt better represents my style. Here’s a look at how our Fall porch with antique accents turned out!
From the get-go, I wanted to use lots of kale and white/green pumpkins. I love how all of the colors play so well together between the whites, purples and greens. I purchased all of the pumpkins at fall festivals or my local greenhouse. The kale and florals were from Lowe’s. I had this amazing handwoven wheat wreath from last year and I decided to use it again. I love how it brings another fall element to the porch.
Here is a list of the specific types of plants that I used this year!
- Thundercloud Stonecrop
- Flowering Kale
- Kamome Pink Kale
- Glamour Red Kale
I decided to include a few layered doormats to add a cozy touch! The black striped doormat ties in well with our front door and brings a bit of contrast to the area. To see a quick and simple how-to on doormat layering, check out this blog post!
It was so much fun to create this Fall porch with antique accents. I have a feeling that this front porch of ours is going to be one of my favorites to play with as the seasons change. I am already brainstorming for Christmas….Oops! I hope this inspires your own fall porch refresh and as always, I thank you all so much for stopping by. Happy Fall!
